DoseCompare, operated by Outport AI ("we," "our," or "us"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit DoseCompare.com (the "Site"). Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve the Site:

Analytics data: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate site usage, including pages visited, session duration, device type, general geographic region, and referral sources. We have configured GA4 to use IP anonymization and have not enabled Google Signals, Google Ads linking, or personalized advertising features. Google Analytics may still set cookies on your browser as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Email subscriptions: If you voluntarily submit your email address (for example, for price alerts), we store your email address, the source page of the subscription, and your communication preferences. Submission is optional.
Provider submission data: If you submit a practice via the "List Your Practice" form, we store the information you provide (practice name, website, contact information, medications offered, pricing details) to review and list your practice on the Site.
Server logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) may log standard information about requests to the Site, including IP address, user agent, and request time, for security and operational purposes. These logs are retained per Vercel's standard policies.

What We Do NOT Collect or Share

We take a health-privacy-first approach. We do NOT:

Collect protected health information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA
Ask users to disclose symptoms, diagnoses, medication history, insurance plan details, or other health information to use the Site
Use Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or other advertising network tracking pixels
Share health-related browsing behavior with Meta, TikTok, or other advertising networks
Sell or rent your personal information to any third party
Use any of your data for targeted advertising or ad retargeting

How We Use Your Information

To operate, maintain, and improve the Site
To send you emails you have explicitly opted into (for example, price alerts or newsletter), with clear unsubscribe options in every message
To review and publish provider submissions you voluntarily provide
To analyze aggregate, anonymized site traffic patterns to improve content and user experience
To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect against fraud or abuse

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a limited set of cookies:

Essential cookies: Required for basic site functionality (e.g., session state).
Analytics cookies: Set by Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage. You can opt out of GA tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not use cross-site tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party behavioral tracking.

Affiliate Links and Third-Party Websites

The Site contains links to third-party provider websites, including affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and sign up with a provider, DoseCompare may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Once you leave the Site, you are subject to the privacy practices of the third-party provider, not ours. We recommend reviewing their privacy policy before submitting personal information. Email Communications (CASL and CAN-SPAM)

As a Canadian-operated service, we comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. All non-transactional email communications require your explicit opt-in, identify the sender clearly, and include a functional unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribe requests are processed promptly.

Data Retention

Email subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Provider submission data is retained for records-keeping purposes as long as the provider is listed on the Site plus a reasonable period for audit and legal compliance. Analytics data is retained according to the default Google Analytics 4 retention period.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access to the personal information we hold about you
Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
Deletion of your personal information
A copy of your data in a portable, machine-readable format

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Users

DoseCompare is operated from Canada. If you access the Site from outside Canada or the United States, your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in Canada or the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted to this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the Site for a reasonable period.
